I moved out of this complex in 2011, while I lived there I made sure as not to hang a single picture so as not to damage the paint. Moreover, I also didn’t leave a single stain on the carpet and rented a carpet cleaner when I moved out. I left the place spotless, so I was surprised when instead of getting my security deposit back I got a bill for $100.00 in cleaning fees.
This bill included painting for $100.00, carpet cleaning for $100.00; I was for everything they possibly could have charged for including dust on the blinds. On top being charged for everything in the apartment I was charged for a “cleaning fee” of $100.00.
Not only were they charging me for normal ware and tare but they were also charging me the same fee twice, when I went to the management and complained they agreed to drop the charge and just keep my deposit and we would go our separate ways. Well, two years later they’re now calling me and saying that I owe them $100.00 in cleaning fees and they’re charging me daily interest for not paying the bill on time…as if the place is getting dirtier…
When I called them they said that I would have to prove to them that I don’t owe the fees, as if I kept paperwork from an apartment I haven’t lived at for two years. Not only that but they’re completely rude when talking to me on the phone suggesting that if I’m as good at cleaning apartments as I say then I should be a maid. I’ve tried calling other people at this company but they all brush me off or they’re unreasonably rude.
I write this post to warn potential tenants that this complex is run by a group of crooks who will try and collect money from you years after you’ve moved out from their establishment. They are very shady and if you value your money, don’t move in with these slum lords.
