The "Just Jaguar Car Service", jaguar repair shop located in Sherman Oaks , California, was so unprofessional and violated many laws set down by the Bureau of Automotive Repair. I took my 2000 Jaguar XJ8 in for it's 100,000 mile maintenance service.The service specified many things. One, for example, was "checking all fluid levels and topping them off" if necessary. This was never done. A day after retrieving my car, (the service took 10 days!), the coolant level light went off. The level had never been checked or filled.On the third day the wife of the owner Natalie, called, (Natalie and Graham Bloxham run the shop) and informed me that my Jaguar had been taken to an auto-body shop-somewhere, called, -of all names- "Rich and Famous Auto Body Shop". Natalie told me that a "cement brick was found stuck up in the suspension under the car", some "road debris" and I should contact my insurance company because this was "roadway debris". I think the money sign was flashng in their eyes. I bring a REAL mechanic with 30 years experience, to "Rich and Famous Auto Body" and we all inspect the car. The owner states that there is NO CEMENT BRICK AT ALL! The transfer of my vehicle was not authorized by me in written or electronic form, which is in clear VIOLATION of the laws set forth by the BUREAU of AUTOMATIVE REPAIR. There was NO authorization by myself, the owner of the car, no notice or invoice given as to what additional charges would be added by the auto-body shop. Again, a clear violation of the BUREAU OF AUTOMOTIVE REPAIR.In, addition, the "Just Jaguar Car Servce" jag repair shop decided to replace the frame that goes around my license plate and charge me for another one plus charge me for each new screw and each new washer to attach it! This was not a part of my 100,000 maintenance service. I believe that because the original frame advertised a competitor's jaguar shop, that they remowed it. They charged me for the new frame, screws, washers, AND THE LABOR TO DO IT!!!. This same action is backed up by reviews I have seen where other customers stated the same thing as done replacing their licnse plate frame. I was also charged for TWO new windshield wipers plus labor costs when the car only has ONE windshield wiper that was in perfect condition!This and other work,repairs,and labor charges were never approved by me either in written form or electronically, another violation.THE BUREAU OF AUTOMOTIVE REAIR states that the owner of the car has the right to inspect any parts that were removed or replaced. The shop must save all parts unless the car owner has signed a written statement when first dropping off the car that they do not need to see or obtain the parts. This was not done.The service provided by "Just Jaguar Car Service" of Sherman Oaks, Caliifornia was such a rip-off !! It cost me approximately $1000.00 to them for my 100,000 maintenance service and about $490.00 to the "Rich and Famous Auto Body Shop" for the unauthorized repair of a non-existant "cement brick stuck up in the under car suspension". My complaints and questions to Natalie, the wife of the owner of "Just Jaguar" in Sherman Oaks were met by rude and unprofessional behavior. For example, she states "So big deal, ARE you COMPLAINING ABOUT A SMALL FEE FOR THE CHANGING OF YOUR LICENSE PLATE FRAME?" I said yes, it's MY MONEY you chose to steal for a part PLUS labor costs that were not part of the maintenance service AND NOT AUTHORIZED BY ME. She closed the conversation between myself and my husband by saying "I've had enough of this BIT... -FEST" (swear word left out). I was totally shocked.
