This venue charged us 5500 for three nights with promise of a hot tub, sauna, and a clean environment.
We picked up the keys and were told that the hot tubs was not working. Then upon arrival to the ranch we were greeted by crumbs, mouse poop, and piles of dead bugs in every corner. It clearly hadn't been cleaned in awhile. within thirty mins we then found a large bull snake behind the fireplace downstairs. We called the couple we booked through and were told someone would come take care of the snake. Within an hour a man showed up, with a LOADED shotgun. We informed him the snake was in the house and he cussed and said he would be back. Come to find out this wasn't even who they had sent! He showed back up with a bucket and his shotgun (this time unloaded) and began poking the snake causing it to become angry and crawl into the fireplace! The man left again for about another 30-45 mins. Then returned again with his wife and two young children. This time he sprayed the snake with a barn bug repellent and continued to poke the snake with his unloaded shotgun. After about a half hour of spraying and poking the snake he finally gave up and told us he would send his mother in law to help us when she got home from Sheridan. Eventually, the snake left on his own and we carried on with our afternoon.
Later the plumber showed up and fixed the hottub.
As we made our way to bed one of our guests went to make her bed and found bed bugs!
This was the last straw for our group. We left after twelve hours.
