Christine Cook, MD, MPA, is a Board-certified pulmonologist and critical care physician with AdventHealth Medical Group Pulmonology at Shawnee Mission. Dr. Cook earned her medical degree from the University of Kansas School of Medicine, where she earned numerous awards for academic achievement and community service. Prior to medical school, she had a brief career in marketing after graduating with honors from the University of Missouri’s award-winning School of Journalism and then earning a master’s degree in public administration, with an emphasis in health services administration, from the University of Missouri-Kansas City. After medical school, she went on to complete an internal medicine residency at Vanderbilt University Medical Center and then a pulmonary and critical care fellowship at the University of Kansas. She joined Pulmonology at Shawnee Mission in 2021. Dr. Cook has published and presented extensively on various pulmonology topics. She is a member of the American College of Chest Physicians and the American Thoracic Society.
