Provided by YP.comIf you are looking for a very nice setting, excellent food and even a sweets shop that has custom made goodies, this is all about that personal touch! The Club Sandwich, Rueben Sandwich and Strawberry Salad are just some of the great items they feature. Portions are super and the owners take great pride in an excellent experience! Ditch the fast food, chain environments and enjoy a lovely setting!

Provided by SuperpagesThis is a wonderful place to take family, friends and new aquaintances. I have been here many times and never tire of the food, atmosphere and truly nice personalities of the servers. I would recommend this quaint little place to everyone (though I do enjoy the space). The grounds and musical antiques are fabulous also.

Provided by SuperpagesA great place to have lunch. Wonderful setting, beautiful grounds tucked in the woods and an eyeful of grandma's old kitchen decorations. Nice menu with daily specials and flavored tea's. Priced just right. A pleasant experience. Don't forget to turn off your cell phone for a relaxing lunch. Mt only complaint if you can call it that is they do need to coordinate the help. You are waited on immediately after being seated but the return trip for dessert sometimes gets lost. I suggest ordering it when you receive the main course. Well worth the drive, well worth the time.

Provided by SuperpagesWe were visiting friends in Seymour and treated to an "experience" at Batar. It's like a little village tucked back in these pine trees. There's a little shop, Batar with very unique home decor stuff (and great prices compared to what I pay in Chicago). And next to that, the very charming Cafe at Batar. The special that day was Lasagna. I had that, vey good and fresh and my husband had the chicken/brocolli quiche. Also very good ( I stole a bite). For dessert, he had the raspberry chocolate curl cake, baked fresh and I had the cherry cobbler with a scoop of ice cream. Yummo. We let our meal settle as we sipped some delicious flavored coffees and then took a stoll thru the small garden to the Music Parlor Museum in yet another charming building next door. The man that owns it has collected every LIFE magazine since its beginning and displays them on the walls. The other half of the building is full of the most beautiful old musical instruments you've ever seen and heard. A delight!
