We have gone into this auto parts store twice now. Both times not one person looked at us, asked if we needed anything, acknowledged our presence. We stood at the counter waiting for the employees to finish chatting. We finally left. I have never had such poor service. We really like to support local business as opposed to the big chains but this place is ridiculous. So much for customer service :(

Always had a good experience at A-1. A couple of times over the years I've had a disagreement with them, but even then, they seemed to have the 'the customer is always right' attitude and satisfied my needs.

Not the shiny, new big-name auto parts store, just a good old-fashioned neighborhood auto parts store with knowledgeable staff and good inventory. Central in-town location on the main drag, a little tight for parking space. The staff know what they're doing, and they're helpful and courteous. They talk-the-talk with mechanics and regulars, but they have time and patience for the "automotively-inept". They seem to have most of what I need, and can usually get anything else overnight. Kevin, the owner, keeps his prices as low as he can and still keep the doors open. He understands the principles of retail and customer service well. They're usually my first store for parts and specialty supplies.
