Love this place and all of their food! I frequently stop in just for an appetizer of their pulled pork stuffed jalapeno poppers. Their is nothing on the menu here that is not absolutely freaking delicious. You should definitely take the time to check out Katie lou's!

I decided to take my mother, my wife, and 2 kids out to eat here on a Sunday lunch trip. I really like the interior of this place, sort of an industrial/home/vintage feel to it which seems to run as the norm in Senoia I live about 5 blocks from this restaurant. I am not a tourist so it was a great thrill to have a new place to eat here in town. I noticed immediately a bbq sandwich was $8.50 which typically runs about $5 every where else. Add a drink to that and I figured I would get a sandwich and a drink for nearly $11. This better be good!

My sandwich came with two small pieces of pork and sauce on the side along with fries that were flimsy and had a sugary taste to them. I ate it all for nearly $11 and was still hungry. I did not finish the fries as they had a sweet taste to them.

My wife, however order french toast, she adores breakfast for lunch. She received VERY small portion of an egg battered piece of toast covered in raw flour. Yes, raw flour. We figured this was an obvious mistake due to similarity in appearance to powdered sugar. She sent it back, the server apologized 5 times, another lady came out and apologized a few times also. She appeared to be someone high up. We nodded, stated it was not a problem and she assured us that there would be no charge.

My mother did not receive half of what she ordered either, they also corrected her meal.

The server, a young lady which was very well spoken seemed to be cursed with apologizing every time a cloud blocked the sun. This quickly grew old.

Guess what, we were charged for my wife's french toast which we were told was on the house, and of course my mother had to pay full price as well. We did not show up to eat for free and I refuse to make a scene and attempt to get anything for free but that is simply what we were told would happen.

We paid our bill, left a 30% tip and will not be back.

You should definitely try Kati...

You should definitely try Katie Lou's Cafe. the food is crazy good, especially the white sauce. They have a good selection, breakfast lunch and dinners, a bar and great desserts. The other review about poor service or the spartan decor is a little unfair because its only been open 3 days so whoever posted that was jumping the gun a little.

Terrible service

Katie Lou's Cafe is a quaint little barbecue joint in bustling downtown senoia. The food is good. No complaints there, BUT the service is slow and lackadaisical. I waited about 15 minutes just to get someone to ask me what I wanted to drink. The food came out at different times and they messed up my order. Everything seems clean, but there is almost no lightning and the decoration is quite bland. Overall, the restaurant has potential, but if they don't get their wait act together, they won't be around much longer.
