Tom Dodd Nurseries are wholesale nurseries committed to providingre-wholesalers, garden centers, landscapers and growers with a large variety of attractive, healthy plants. The two companies merged to become one of the largest wholesale growers in southern Alabama and it prides itself on offering its customers the highest quality nursery stock available. Tom Dodd Nurseries was started in 1920 with 40 acres of land. The nursery remained owned by the Dodd family until August of 2004 when Twin Oaks Nursery in Wilmer, Ala. purchased it. Its plant varieties range from azaleas, camellias, ferns, hollies, trees and grasses to a wide variety of other hardy ornamental, native and carnivorous plants. The nursery now operates on 250 acres near Semmes, Ala.
