Today is support your local businesses day so that's what I decided to get out & do. However, when I visited Something Special Consignment on Schillingers Rd I felt discriminated against. When me & my daughter walked in "I" said hello to the lady at the front desk in stead of greeting us back she looked at us funny. We was "NOT" greeted back. Never the less I thought nothing of it & started to look around. Moments later a group of white people walked in & was welcome with open arms, greeted very well & was even advised of the today special. At that moment I felt unwelcome & we left. At the age of 39 this was the first time in my life as a black woman feeling that way. We went to Kaglen resale, Olde Mobile Antique's & a few others & got the 5 start customer service greeting with the whole 9 yards. Next time I'll make sure to bypass this place & head to High Cotton Consignment. This is my personal experience & hope no one else has had that type of encounter with them. If so you are not alone.
