Founded in 1933, Newsradio 1070 WKOK is a radio station that airs a variety of news, information and sports programs. It is a subsidiary of Sunbury Broadcasting Corporation, which also owns and operates various other radio stations, including WVLY-FM, WEGH-FM, WQKX-FM and WMLP-AM. Newsradio 1070 WKOK has won several awards from the Associated Press and the Pennsylvania Association of Broadcasters. The radio station s longest running program is "Talk To Santa", which is based on the tradition of Christmas. It has also received numerous community and statewide awards for outstanding public service from the Pennsylvania House of Representatives and the Pennsylvania Senate.
