Unfortunately, with many builders, the base price that is given to the customer does not include adequate allowances for customer to select nicer products such as wood flooring, designer tile, metal roofs, granite counter tops, name-brand appliances, security systems, etc... Everything is considered an "extra." Here at Chapman's we pride ourselves in the fact that "Quality is not an Upgrade." We start out with the best quality products and subcontractors. You will get "more bang for your buck" as the saying goes. "Their" upgrades are usually our standard. We have heard many comments from some of the doctor's offices and office buildings that we have built, that they don't have that "commercial" feeling. The end product is more like a custom home. Leaking Roof in Custom Home by Chapman Construction/TM Scott

We contracted for a custom home in Lake June Pointe with Chapman Construction who in turn subcontracted the roofing to TM Scott. We have had a significant leak in the garage and dining room since we first closed on the house and have not been able to get them to successfully fix it. This has been an on-going issue for 2 years and is about to go to litigation if not promptly solved. In addition we have had nothing but problems with the tile floor installation. It was not level from day one and we continue to have problems with cracked tile and grout. At this point I can not recommend Chapman Construction since they have not lived up to their contract or their advertised slogan "where quality isn't and upgrade".
