This elderly gentleman means well but he has lost his touch. The deer trophies on his wall that look good are 20 years old. My trophy was hacked. I had to send it to another taxidermist who said it was the worst work he had seen. The cape was on a form two sizes too small, cuts all over, eyelids turned under, wrong size form with buggered detail. This cost an extra $700 to fix and the cape was cut short for his wrong form so it will never be right. Stay away or pay! Note, the five star review here gives no info and is likely friend or family. When I picked up my mount I saw other mounts being done very poorly. You'd do a better job yourself! Sorry, but that is the truth.

Hunters Beware!!!!

If you value whatever you plan on droping off at this guy than you better call every day to check on the progress!

I left him responsible with handiling my bear hide and sending it to the tannery. The hide had no claws or head and it had been salted and frozen. He was suposed check it and make sure it had been fleshed properly and send it off, I left him with a $100 deposit. I know the tannery's usual turn around could be as much as 3 months, so I waited 4 before calling he sounded annoyed that I was calling and told me "I'll call you as soon as I get it in" so after 8 months I call him and I get "oh ya its right here". We'll I get there and he said I don't owe him anything else and after I got home and looked at it I found out why! the hide had been hacked up to make patches for spots that had been gouged into it from the worst home tanning I've ever seen!
