My VW obsession started 8 years ago, and Mike was the referred mechanic from the Cascade Combis club. All these years, Mike has been the treasured mechanic on my 74 and 79 bus, several Ghias, my Squareback and a Bug. Due to location and scheduling at times, I have tried other aircooled mechanics in the local Seattle area. I have found Mike to be the best. I read the one negative review on this site. Any mechanic is going to charge for diagnostic time, even if they can't solve a problem. I took my poorly running Squareback to Mike after 2 mechanics scratched their heads. It's now in perfect order - first try. Also, Mike took on a basket case Ghia I just got. He's not afraid of resurrection projects, and it's now roadworthy again! Al Brashear
