BE WARNED!!!!! UPS quoted me 73.87 AND 88.57 to ship 2 boxes, I WAS CHARGED!!! 154.22 and 177.48 by the nice people here at pony express Lake City. 12351 Lake City Way NE.(206) 367-6245, Ask for Andy.
Now here's my story. I recently participated in an auction at UW. I was really happy with the lot of items I won. UW does not do there own shipping. I had to make all the arrangements myself from NY. I contacted Mike from ALL EVENTS SERVICES who did an OUTSTANDING job. He picked up the items for me and brought them to Andy at pony express Lake City . Now the reason I had them brought there was I had spoken to Brandi who assured me that they would be packaged for free and I would only be charged for the shipping. After my items were packed I was told by Andy packing was not free, acknowledging that this was what Brandi was telling people, Brandi was hit by the bus Andy was driving. No one has seen or heard from her since. "POOR BRANDI", I was charged for the packing and supplies. There were 8 items in total the size of laptops. Desperate for some releaf . I called UPS and they showed me a way to save money on the shipping charges. After reaching out to Andy again and asking him to follow UPS suggestion he said no problem but had to recalculate the packaging charge. The charge "SKYROCKETED", went 3 times over the initial free "packaging charge "to over $110.00, but after up charging me 169.26 over what UPS told me the charges should have been to ship both boxes he gave me 10% off. " Way to go Andy". So my final cost to ship 2 boxes was $400.00. I'm here to tell you if you need something shipped bring it to the UPS terminal. Don't become a casualty like "POOR BRANDI AND ME"
ANDY TELL ME DO YOU ALWAYS ALMOST DOUBLE WHAT THE NORMAL UPS CHARGE IS?

Been a customer for over 20 years, and kept the box even after I moved away because I trust these folks. They've always been professional and polite, even in the face of (occasional) incredible rudeness from customers.

where i live has nothing to do with where i shop. i used to regularly travel from west seattle to north city to do my laundry and when i lived in magnolia i drove to north ballard to do my package sending. so it is really nice now that i live in lake city to have a place right in my neighborhood that i can go to simply because i like the style of the people who run it. my needs can run from just wanting a money order or stamps to paying credit card bills to sending money across the planet via western union to sending packages. but this one stop shopping business has so many services that it offers, like greeting cards and too many other things too numerous to mention them all here but what i like is the fast, friendly way the proprietor always treats me. i highly recommend the pony express in lake city. it's worth traveling to get to take care of business there.
