About Dr. Crutcher James Crutcher Jr., MD, is a Board Certified orthopedic surgeon at Orthopedic Physician Associates in Seattle, Washington, which is a division of Proliance Surgeons Inc. He was a physician at Orthopedic Physician Associates in Seattle for over 29 years. From 2004-08, he served as the chief of the Department of Orthopedics at Seattle’s Swedish Medical Center. As chief, Dr. Crutcher assisted in developing the Swedish Orthopedic Institute — now the most renowned orthopedic facility in the northwestern United States.
