I made a deal with the store owners. The negotiations of the deal had been going on for over a week. On Monday we came to an agreement and shook on it. They were buying the remaining 5 pieces of furniture from me today, Saturday.

Saturday was the last day that I could be in my apartment, and I thought it was cutting a bit close, but i had their word. Because this deal was made I made no further arrangements for selling the stuff even though i had other offers (often better). I had made a deal, and I guess am one of the few people with integrity left in this world.

Saturday came and I waited for them to call as they said they would. The call never came. I finally called them to see what time that they would be coming and they said “oh......we changed our mind. We are not taking your things”. I did not get not as much as a phone call from these people and Saturday it was the day that I had to turn in my keys. Now I have 5 pieces of furniture and literally nowhere for it to go without me being charged extra rent for the month.

Long story short please do not trust the people at the “The Used Furniture Store” located at 120 North Main Ave in Scranton.
