After being told that a pair of earrings were on sale multiple times by multiple sales associates, my fiance was informed at the register that the pair he had picked out were not part of sale. The associates refused to honor the price that he had been assured of so he made a call to their corporate office to explain the situation. Corporate had him on hold while they called the store. He was told by corporate the earrings would be put aside for him as long as he was there by time the store closed at 9 PM. He was given a ticket number by corporate that the store would need when he returned.

These earrings were supposed to be a Valentine's gift but we live about a half hour away from the store so he decided to show me a picture of them before heading back out. I went with him this time. One of the same sales associates, Lakshimi, had been one of the employees who had told him that these earrings were part of the sale was still there. She was also the one to help us this time. From the very beginning of this interaction with her she was rude and had an attitude, even arguing with my fiance when he tried to explain what he was there for. During this time she had told him that the earrings were no longer at the store and had been sold after he left, despite corporate telling us that they were being put aside specifically for him to get that same day. When he had mentioned that we had a ticket number from the corporate office, the tone she used suggested that he was lying about it.

Of course this resulted in another call to corporate to see what was going on with this store. Again my fiance was put on hold while corporate called the store. When he was taken off of hold, he was told that Lakshimi had answered the call from corporate with the same attitude.
We were told that the earrings were really sold after they were promised to us but that they would find a pair from another store and have it shipped to this one for us to get at the sale price we had been given.
