Dr. Emily Jones joined Northeastern Eye Institute in 2017 and practices in our Scranton and Honesdale offices. Dr. Jones received her Bachelor’s Degree in Biology from Millersville University in Millersville, PA. She then went on to earn her Doctor of Optometry degree from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry at Salus University in Elkins Park, PA. During her time at Salus, she was a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa Optometric Honor Society and a member of the Student Optometric Services to Humanity, where she participated in and helped organize a service trip to Cap-Haitien, Haiti. In addition to obtaining her doctorate degree, Dr. Jones completed an Advanced Studies Program in Retina and gained recognition for her excellence in her Primary Care, Pediatric, and Vision Therapy internships. Dr. Jones completed her clinical externships at Nashville Eye Group, Nashville, TN, YKHC Eye Clinic, Bethel, AK, The Eye Institute, Philadelphia, PA, the VA Medical Center, Wilkes-Barre, PA, and Greenville Eyes, Greenville, NC. Dr. Jones is a member of the American Optometric Association and the Pennsylvania Optometric Association.
