Schoolcraft Paving Inc, formerly known as Steinacker Paving Inc. was established in 1959 by Ron Steinacker and R.J. Heystek. The company started out doing concrete driveways and sidewalks for the city of Kalamazoo. During the 1960's, Ron Steinacker bought out R.J. Heystek's interest in the business and decided to give asphalt paving a try. The asphalt part of the business thrived, as we started doing more asphalt paving than concrete work. By mid 1990, the concrete part of the business was phased out and we did 100% asphalt work. Mark Bradshaw bought the company from his father in law in 1995 when Ron retired. The company's name Steinacker Paving Inc. remained the same until the name changed to Schoolcraft Paving Inc. in 2006. We have served the Kalamazoo and the surrounding areas as a family owned business for over 50 years.
