I finally found a place that does a fantastic "original hem" for my jeans!!! (also known as a "tricky hem") I am 5'1" and 95% of my jeans need to be shortend but I don't want to lose the original "frayed" hem. Great little shop! Friendly people, I am getting married next year and I know where I will be taking my dress as well.

I was recommended to this shop by one of my friends.

I found the entire process of the fitting to the picking up of my bridesmaid dress to be PAINLESS! My pocketbook was also very happy. The prices were more than fair - I know as I did some checking.



I will continue to bring my business there for all my clothes. I am a petite size 4 and almost everything I buy or own needs some sort of adjustment.

Please do yourself a favor and check the reviews on yahoo!Local first. I wish I had done it before going to this shop.

And I would have given them no star if i could. anyways, bad service, bad alters. not professional at all. we took a flower girl dress there and the way it was altered on the straps were some makeshift works, but asked for professional cost. there are some triangles sticking out on both sides of the shoulders. i reasoned with them, and then we were told that's the way it is for what we paid for. but they didn't tell us that was the way they will do it. we didn't bother to ask either because we thought they are professional in alterations. i mean, we've never seen anything done like that. finally got them to do the way we want by asking if the seamstress would wear this for a wedding herself. then she said she'll need extra $$. felt so cheated, but since we are from out of town and really out of time, i let them "fix" their mistakes by paying more myself. when we went to pick it up again, the receptionist was pretty bad attitudes. i said i won't recommend them to anyone coz even the new "fix" has ruined the dress... sigh.. i really wish we hadn't taken the dress there. i wish we have checked out the reviews on Yahoo!Local first. but why didn't she tell us she didn't know how to fix it at the beginning????? then the receptionist said to me that she won't recommend me to anyone either, and she said she won't let me talk to her like that. Hahahaha... what a joke! who's the customer and who's taking my $$! anyways, absolutely not recommending them to anyone. they always said they are pretty busy so people think they are good i guess. everytime i go there no one else is there. i guess that's why they charged me an arm and leg.. and still want extra $$. Customers beware!

I am sent to Alterations and More by the Brides' Room to have a dress altered. I was very pleased with the couple that run the business and the work that was done on the dress. They are very professional and Angela is a great job. I was running late and called. They stayed so I could pick up the dress.



I will be going there again in the future. Even though it is out of my way from Chicago.
