At Applebee's the taste of their food is still fairly descent, but lately they have gone CHEAP!! The main course is still a reasonable portion (very little wiggle room when you advertise 10 oz, 8 oz, etc..) but there sides are pathetically small. A Caesar or Garden side salad served on a 6 inch plate (W/$16 Ribeye Steak) is just plain pathetic. Service is very sketchy; It seems that waiters and waitresses are easily confused as to which tables are theirs to wait on. For instance at a recent trip we waited (And almost left) approximately 20 minutes? only to have one waiter take our drink order and obnoxiously hand it off to another waiter who was reluctant to accept it (Reluctant because of the amount of time that transpired from the time we sat down to the time it became apparent that we were seated in his area, he was concerned that his tip would not measure up to his own expectations!!). That same visit one employee was observed taking food off a plate and consuming it while in the kitchen area; it appeared to be off of another employee?s dinner plate? This was all observed through an open door leading back into the kitchen area. They lack PROFFESIONALISM!!!

Highly recommended. Applebee's has great food, friendly service and a pleasant atmosphere.
