Our condo on Siesta Key was renovated by Siesta Key Drywall over the last couple of years. We did our renovation in stages due to budget: popcorn ceiling and a closet built, bathroom renovation and then kitchen renovation. Istvan did all of the work, which was immaculate. He came highly recommended by a neighbor who is a contractor and has done work at the Excelsior Condominiums (plus others on the Key). Throughout the renovations, he kept me apprised of the progress with pictures and calls since I live 3000 miles away. But most importantly, his work speaks for itself with the quality of the drywall. All other contractors tried to quote me more for the smooth ceilings whereas Istvan just gave me one quote and made my walls look like they belong in a condo in NYC.
With the kitchen renovation, we had to raise the ceiling and get rid of the 80s style of florescent lighting. Again, he did an immaculate job in modernizing the place.
Most general contractors use non-skilled laborers to do the work as I've seen in lots of condos at our community. You can see the difference in the workmanship. Not Istvan. You are getting a master at his job. Good luck on getting on his schedule, though!
