This is a beautiful cemetery and glad we have one in Sarasota. I'm not sure what the crazy lady in the previous review was talking about. My dad has been buried there for 3 years and they have always had flags on Memorial Day, 4th of July, and Veteran's Day. As for blaming Obama, yes I am sure that he directly called the cemetery and told them not to put flags out. Didn't Bush/Cheney teach you that it's unpatriotic to question a war time president? She's probably a communist rasist.

My husband and I just got back from Sarasota National Cemetery in Florida. I have never been so disappointed and outraged. There were NO flags on the graves. A few from family members, but not on every grave. Kidding I said, I bet obama is behind it. After all he blames Bush for everything so I can blame him. After our visit we looked around for anyone who worked there. We found a very nice man and asked him, where are the flags? He said they put them only in the main entrance and up the road. He said and I quote "It came from government" Tears came to my eyes. He said the Cemetery was to new. My Father has been there for almost 3 years now and he was not in the first section. My husband and I were sure we have seen flags on the graves there before. That's why we love going on Memorial day. Nothing so sad and beautiful all at the same time. It also should not matter how long a national cemetery is open for, if it has one person buried there, that grave should have a flag.
