Provided by YP.comI used to live in Sarasota, and Phillipi Creek was one of my favorite places to eat. My wife and I ate their recently while vacationing in Sarasota, and it was lovely to see that Phillipi Creek still serves excellent food in a fun setting.

Provided by Superpageswe liked a few things on the menu until recently. this w/e the fish sandwhich had old and smelly fish. should have sent it back but just wanted toget out. the gumbo tasted ok but i spent over 24 hours in the bathroom. too expensive to sit on old picnic tables and have bad food. so long to you.

Provided by SuperpagesI went here in 2008 and was not impressed. I gave it another chance. Same results, calamari was fishy, their soft shell crab sandwich was fishy, that means the seafood was not fresh! I also ordered Buffalo Shrimp and that came out with BBQ sauce & blue cheese dressing. For a restaurant that specializes in seafood, they should at least make the effort to have fresh seafood! I am a local and would not patronize this restaurant.

Provided by YPmobilefood used to be pretty good when I worked there 20 years ago. Took my family there recently and never again. Quality has dropped. Food was greasy. Tasted frozen too long. Very disappointed. Service has failed to meet even minimum standards of an all you can eat buffet where they are mainly bussers.

Provided by SuperpagesHow this place can be rated the best seafood restaurant is beyond me.

Provided by YP.comHave it here - it's certainly the closest thing to an old florida oyster bar, out over the water, nautical decor, friendly staff, and just an air of charm. Check them out!

Provided by SuperpagesThis is the worst restaurant in Sarasota. I used to enjoy eating at Phillippi Creek in the late 90's, but it's not good at all anymore. The food is way over priced and the quality is awful. I personally love to try new restaurants all the time and have been to almost every one in Sarasota and this is by far the worst. I live near by and it makes me sick to my stomach to drive by and see people outside actually going in the to eat there. Yuck! My shrimp were well over cooked and the scallops were dry. I plead to everyone to just stay away from this place.

Provided by YP.comI HAVE BEEN COMING TO SARASOTA FOR THE PAST 20 YEARS SINCE MY SISTER AND HER HUSBAND WENT DOWN THERE. I'VE BEEN TO THE CREEK EVERY TIME AND WAS NEVER DISSAPOINTED WITH THE QUALITY OF MY MEAL. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT TO ANYONE LOOKING FOR GOOD FOOD, GOOD ATMOSPHERE, AND ENJOYABLE COMPANY WHEN IN SARASOTA AREA.
