Family, Youth and Children is a division of the Human Services Department of Sonoma County. It works with individuals and the community to ensure the safety and well-being of children under 18 years of age. Its foster care program provides food, clothing, shelter and guidance. It also provides medical and dental care. Located in Santa Rosa, Calif., the division operates a private, nonprofit organization, which offers supportive and educational services for the abused, abandoned and neglected children of Sonoma County. It also organizes fundraisers for the construction of new residential care facilities. The division also operates a center for the victims of child sexual abuse.
