I took the golden box with acting coach Michelle Danner and i thought it was great. It really helped me get out of my comfort zone. I understand now being an actor i need to be able to connect with myself, and use my personal life in a character. It's not about being myself, or being a complete different person, it's about doing both. Combining myself and the character and making something amazing and believable. I cried during the acting intensive class. Not because it was sad. She was trying to get us connect with ourselves and learn how to relax our minds and focus. She gave me tools to create my very own “golden box,” full of triggers to utilize at a given moment so that I could be more emotionally connected as an actress.

Top Acting Coach Michelle Danner provides the necessary tools to become a skilled professional. I enjoyed the Golden Box so very much. The exercises were not only helpful but therapeutic. Addressing the techniques of Stanislavsky, Meiser, etc Michelle emphasizes finding a method that works best for you. By the end of the workshop I felt camera ready.

I've paid half of the course in advanced to be able to get the I-20

but then the I-20 didn't even help at all to get the visa

and I've tried 3 times in London U.S. embassy

as I didn't get the visa for the third time I really had to give up trying to go

this was Last January and until now

I didn't get any of my money back and what they say

is that they have to keep the $175,00 registration fee plus 20% of the other payments

Do you think it's fair?

I didn't even put my feet in America

I didn't use any services from this school

and though they charge this much

after being loosing time and money with visa's and so on and so on

If you are serious about obtaining a great well rounded acting education then this acting school is the best in Los Angeles! i started off taking the golden box with michelle danner which was amazing. Then I decided to jump in and sign up for the 6 month well rounded acting intensive for beginners.-You literally train and learn every aspect of acting. Comedy, Film & Camera Audition technique, voice, movement, Drama, they even cover the business side of the industry. Michelle Danner is a film director so the added benefit is that casting opportunities. One of the best parts of this school is that the teachers come from professionals that work in the industry and have graduated from yale drama school and Juilliard.

Studying with Michelle Danner at The Edgemar Center has been eye-opening for me. I have taken acting classes at other well-known schools across the country and her work goes above and beyond any training I have had. Her knowledge of acting training today as well as its history is in my opinion, one of the main reasons that she is so effective as a teacher. I love her scene study class - she thinks outside the box and includes much more in her training than the majority of other classes out there. She uses tools from modern psychology that allow you to understand your characters "wants" and "needs" so you can fully identify with their world-views, which helps bring forth the multi-dimensional and unpredictable performances.
