Best happy hour in Santa Barbara Bar and pizza restaurant

The Neighborhood Bar is one of a kind Santa Barbara Bar, a locals bar and grille with great prices and fun things to do --Ping Pong, Billiards, Darts, Buck Hunter, bean bag toss, Foozball, big screen TV's, and more. No State Street drama, less tourists, more locals, you'll get a taste of the real Santa Barbara at this Bar. This west beach bar has endless supplies of beer, great tasting cheeseburgers and the most delicious pizza in Santa Barbara. They are one of the few pizza restaurants in SB that stay open late until 2am. The best part about The Neighborhood Bar is the people. Both the bartenders and the patrons are down to earth, laid back, and fun people to be around. You'll meet a mix of people from all walks of life. Great place to relax and recharge your batteries. If you're a budget savvy tourist looking for the best happy hour in Santa Barbara, the local Independent newspaper gave the award to the Hood for best happy hour in Santa Barbara... -Taylor

Hard to Find, but Worth the Effort

I have reviewed many places over the years, but this one is unique.

Santa Barbara has many great things to offer. The beach, the mountains, the trees & of course State Street.

What I am about to describe to you is near all of those things, but not yet seen by most tourists. Tucked away, just a few blocks from the beach, in between Cabrillo Blvd. and HWY 101 on West Montecito Street / Corner of Bath Street, is THE NEIGHBORHOOD - Corner Bar & Grill. A real needle in a haystack. It is warm, fun and inviting. The bartenders are very friendly and fast behind the bar. The beer selection consists of 12 Beers on Tap, from your Iconic Pabst Blue Ribbon all the way up to Fat Tire, Sunshine Wheat, Firestone, Sierra, Alaskan, Pilsner Urquell and others. The prices are the lowest in Santa Barbara, where you can find $20 goes all night. Beers and Drinks are $4, need I say more? A large Pizza with 4 Toppings is $13 and it is good! Made by hand and to order, the pizza and other concoctions are somewhat mindless, but isn't that point? A good size menu that touches on nostalgia and bar standards with a few surprises thrown in. Like the Mahi-Mahi Fish Tacos, 2 for $6 with Chips and Salsa. For fun they have 7 different kinds of FF to choose from - Curly, Thin Cut, Crinkle Cut, Waffle Cut, Sweet Potato, Wedge Cut, & even Potato Chips. A different FF for each day of the week and they are only $3 reg and $2 happy hour. The Happy Hour is amazing too, but wait there is more. They now open everyday at 2PM !!! They have Pre-Happy Hour Specials from 2pm to 4pm. $3 any Pint, $3 any cocktail, $8 any Pitcher, seriously that is a bargain and a half.

Aside from being a great value, The Neighborhood has tons of things to do and it is big, so you can roam around for 2 hours and never get bored. They have 2 Ping Pong Tables all the time! Who does that? They have a HUGE back patio with 7 Beer Pong Tables and they shine a Projector on the Patio Walls at Night of the Current Sporting Events or Fuel TV. Don't be fooled, this is not a sports bar, it is a bar with sports. They also have foosball, bean bags aka Corn Hole, and Big Buck Hunter VIdeo Games to shoot em up! The Jukebox has every song you could imagine, with Internet Downloads, you can find almost any song you can think of.

This is the type of Neighborhood Bar you always wished you had and now you know where it is.
