Lathrop Technology Magnet School, founded in 1924 and previously known as Julia C. Lathrop Intermediate School, is located in Santa Ana, Calif. The school provides educational services to more than 1,400 students in grades six through eight. It conducts classes in various subjects that include math, science, social studies and language arts. It offers a variety of extracurricular activities, such as music, visual arts, and technical and physical education. Lathrop Technology Magnet School operates a parent-teacher association that conducts various fundraising activities and special programs. The school also provides special education services to gifted and talented students. In addition, it conducts several after-school programs. The school provides a range of services that includes guidance counsleing and health care. Lathrop Technology Magnet School is a part of the Santa Ana Unified School District.
