Advance German Car has been servicing German automobiles in the South Bay Community for over 25 years. Our commitment to excellence in the automotive industry has allowed us to become a leader amongst our competitors. Rudy Brandes, the owner, has the specialized experience, certifications and technology available in-house to solve any problem your German automobile may have. Moreover, we understand that our clients lead busy lives and try our hardest to solve our clients' car problems with their busy schedules in mind. For example, we offer complimentary shuttle pick-up/drop-off service within a 10-mile radius of our shop. Advance German Car gets your car issues resolved the first time so that you can move forward with your life. It is not unusual for new clients to come to us after having unwillingly invested time and money taking their German automobile to a mechanic shop that does not specialize in German autos. The repair of German autos requires technical expertise that can only be attained after years of experience servicing these specific autos. Thus, we strongly recommend you see a specialist the first time. If you are not located in the South Bay area, we would be happy to recommend a German auto specialist in your area. Advance German Car also provides a "Pre-Purchase Vehicle Inspection" service which includes our 21-point vehicle inspection and helps you ascertain the fair market value of a German auto you are looking to purchase. In addition, we are experienced with servicing newer generation models and it is important to note that services performed through our shop do not void your vehicle's warranty. We also routinely service leased autos throughout the lease period and prior to the lease term's expiration. We stand firmly behind all services performed on your vehicle by including with every service a 12-month, or 12, 000 mile parts and labor warranty, whichever comes first. We would be honored to help solve any problems your German auto may be experiencing. Call today to reserve an appointment at (310 ) 514-1795.

It makes me mad to read reviews that are not fair to business owners. I have been going to the Advance German Car Specialist for over two years and I could not be any happier with the results and the way my car performs. I used to go to the Audi dealership to have the maintenance done on my car, until I found this shop in San Pedro. The owner is a very genuine guy. He treats his clients with utmost respect and works on the cars as if they were his own. Cheap? No. Then again that is the price you pay for driving a German luxury vehicle. I feel that the price I pay is well worth the maintenance provided; comparable to the Audi dealership but more thorough and preventative. Not every mechanic out there has the credentials to provide superior work on these vehicles; and I can attest that this shop absolutely does. I'll be going to him so long I have my Audi or any other German vehicle. Thank you for your excellent service.

The worst shop I've ever dealt...

The worst shop I've ever dealt with. Beware of the owner, he's just going to find expensive repair items that really don't need repair (Yes I'm taking this guy to court). Not only did they charge double for work that wasn't needed (Where's Chris Hanson from MSNBC when you need him) something which I verified with a 3rd party repair shop (For example, charged for removing the fuel tank and the fuel sensor both of which come out together), but they wouldn't check the sending unit after repairing it (the Fuel Gage wouldn't read full any more which they claimed was instrumentation, but I verified again with a 3rd party shop that in fact it was the sending unit German Car Specialists supposedly repaired).

I don't like writing negatively about people, and am a champion for small business causes, but when I experience a rip off artist that costs me thousands, I will be a force to be reckoned with. Watch your backs with this one guys.

As a shop owner

On alternators their is a "core" value to the unit. If it is not returned to the manufacturer the core value is charged to the auto shop. That cost is of course passed on to the customer if the old part is requested. $80.00 is an average core value and I would not consider this overcharging by anymeans. Most customers dont understand or believe this charge, but it is true!
