My medical insurance carrier referred me to this place and what a mistake! I went to see Dr. Amoli for a routine physical and to start a new RX for my asthma. I told the doctor what I was already taking and it was working but he REFUSED to give me the same medication. He said, "You don't need that!" HUH? So he gave me prescriptions for two other medications that were not covered by my insurance. I called to ask if he could just write me an RX for what I was already on, but was told I would have to come in to the office, which I did. Again I got the same run around about the RX and he still would not give me what I had been taking for a couple years with no problem. He wrote me yet another RX for another medication, also not covered on my insurance and we went through the same run around of me going into the office and getting an useless RX's every week for about 6 weeks. Okay, I'm slow right? I finally figured out the last time I was there that he was a CROOK and just wanted to keep collecting my co-pay and what ever the insurance paid him for office visits when he again refused to give me the correct RX and actually yelled at me and told me to "Stop embarassing him" WTH? REALLY? Then he tried to send me for an EKG and when I asked WHY? He had no answer. I not only changed doctors, I changed insurance carriers too. Kaiser is great! They have no hidden agenda and I'm back on the medication I was in need of. Kaiser doesn't profit from having a patient come into the office multiple times needlessly.
