Provided by YP.comFinally took the kids to see they Winchester Mystery House. I was excited to find discounted tickets through Groupon. We chose the Mansion Tour since we had kids and the length of the other tours seemed a bit too long for them. The house is really cool. So many strange things to see. Was bummed that they keep you from seeing so many parts of the house. Many are roped off or are part of a different tour. The say you tour 110 of the 160 rooms, but many of those rooms you just pass by. They just announced that they "found" a new room, but don't be fooled....it is a marketing ploy. They built a shooting range game and call it Sarah's attic. There is not really a newly discovered room at the mystery house.

Provided by YP.comWe have been to the Winchester Mystery House a couple of times and have always found it enjoyable and weird. The house is certainly a "one of a kind" with doors that open to nowhere, unfinished rooms, and floors that drop 10 feet below!!
It's too bad she wasn't aware that the Bible says "the dead don't know anything" and that they cant haunt us or return out of their graves.

Provided by YP.comI went there back in 69, it was great, then I went back in the middle 80's things has changed so much,a lot of things were blocked off,and things I didn't get to see when I went the second time.so what they have showing now is nothing from what I seen in the 60, s.it was so more exciting, and a lot more to see.but it's still great either way.the stories they told about the Mrs Winchester was so strange, that had told, that they didn't tell later in the years.i enjoyed myself the first time over the second time going.but whoever goes will have a great time, wish, and hope they bring back the real stories they have told from before,it's so much more interesting.have fun to all the people that go,it won't be a wasted trip.

Provided by YP.comWe think the tour is to fast because you dont get much of a chance to look around. I would definitely like to hear more about the carpenters. The wood work is phenominal. Where did she find these men. The garden was interesting. Its a little annoying how your tour guide is talking over the automated tour speakers. It would be nice to stand there and here what the automated speakers were saying. Instead, we got he feeling of being rushed. Our tour guide said we seemed most interested. So unless your really into the whole history of the place or the arcutecture, save your money. Otherwise its worth every penny.

Provided by YP.comThe Winchester Mystery House is definitely a strange & unique place with a fascinating history, but at about $24 a ticket for the (albeit lengthy) basic tour, there isn't a whole lot of bang for your buck, and my wife and I felt a bit fleeced. After the staircase to the ceiling, crazy winding stairways, and the doors that open to nowhere, it's just an endless series of mostly nondescript Victorian-style rooms. It does have its charm though, and I would recommend it if you have time and money to burn.
