Stay far far away from this sk...

Stay far far away from this sketchy importer of third-rate Chinese flooring products. They pretend to be a real company, but the products are cut-rate quality, the support is non-existent, quality control very poor, and marketing tactics are between shrewd and despicable.

The sample boards distributed to showrooms and local flooring dealers are cherry picked from the best-of-breed boards, without abundant knots, flaws, and absent of teenie-tiny flooring pieces stuffed into their "gotcha" boxes. Yet when you actually pony up to take delivery of boxes of flooring boards (every one "special ordered" to assure invisibility), get ready for the shocker. They are riddled with knots, chips, and a host of other surface finish imperfections and other blemishes never seen in their deceptive bait-and-switch samples. Much worse yet, they will tell you on the telephone (call "Nick -No-Last-Name-Given" at USC) that the boards are full 2', 3', 4', and 5' lengths.) Utter nonsense.

In point of fact, when you get the boxes open, they are cut mostly from small scraps of wood, varying in length every two inches from scaps of 12" long to the rare 46" long board (I got maybe 2 of those in a full box). The vast majority of the oak boards are virtually unusable 12" to 22" pieces -- scraps really -- which will leave a floor looking like a patchwork of seams, impossible to lay with any discernible or aesthetically attractive pattern.

Call USC and you'll get people who don't return phone calls, won't give their names out, and don't even have email addresses. Don't bother to leave a message, or you'll wait all eternity for a caring or reputable person to respond.

These guys must have moved to San Jose directly from a Time Square pawn shop.

If you're planning on replacing your floor with a quality pre-finished wood product, run -- don't walk -- away from USC.
