This is a charming place with a rich history. I've lived here for five years. the location was perfect for me because it is close to the freeways and airport. The tenants living here were nice and friendly--professional working type.



Now the bad:



It's hard to get a hold of the property manager. However, I would not recommend this place to anyone thinking about moving in.



There are no modern features like AC/Heat or ventilation in the kitchen. If you plan on cooking curry or fish, expect to have your dinner smell linger for a week. The walls are also not insulated and I can have every details of my neighbor above and below--not good for privacy.



It's near the VTA stop and it can get dodgy at night--be careful



After I left, the owner of the property tried to charge me for new vinyl for a stain they could not clean after I left. This is just normal wear and tear and they tried to have me pay for their flooring--shameful. Now i'm going to have to take her to small claims to get my deposit back.



If you like the charm and architect of the building, then this is the place for you. Other than that, AVOID THIS PLACE
