Warm Planet is a boutique shop that takes urban biking seriously. We have bikes not found elsewhere; folding bikes and cargo bikes, practical toys and quick service for daily commuters.
Winter hours 8:30am-7pm Tuesday-Friday, 10am6pm Saturday.
Folding:
Need MUNI? BART too crowded? Try a Tern, Dahon, Montague, or Bike Friday tikit.
No storage? No problem. Folders fit in a closet or under your desk.
Touring? Build a custom fitted Bike Friday Pocket bike. We have extensive touring experience. We'll recommend the best bags for a trip to Alaska in rainy season, or how to hang a hammock from your handlebars.
Cargo:
Ditch carshare. Get a bike that carries two kids and all the groceries. We live for hauling, Liam won the 2013 Supermarket Street Sweep carrying 796 lbs of food on his Surly Big Dummy with sidecar. Build a custom Xtracycle Edgerunner or folding Tern Cargo Joe. Yuba soon in stock.
Repair service:
Ted, lead mechanic, spent years at the Bike Hut teaching kids to build bikes from castoff parts. No matter how old, or hard you've used it, he knows your bike. Drop it off in the morning, pick it up later, we work around your schedule.
