We recently moved here from San Francisco, a city that has some pretty good pizza. Was disappointed at what we found here, until we found Cafe Verrazzano. We love their crust and toppings both. They don't have tons to choose from, but what they have is fresh, appropriately applied (meaning the veggies don't make your pizza soggy), and delicious! PLUS, hanging out on the patio on a warm San Diego evening and watching the hot air balloons on the horizon is pretty darn nice too - not something we ever got to enjoy in SF.
