If you love your car, you will avoid this place at all cost. The sign says it is The best price in town." This may be true, but you will end up taking your vehicle somewhere else to be fixed RIGHT! I took my pickup there and payed over $1200. I then had to take it to the dealership to have them to put on parts that were left off and to correctly fix the orignal problem. In addition to the shoddy work, I was lied to about when my vehicle was going to be ready. Also, when I was first given a quote of how much my job was going to cost, it changed when I actually went in for the work even though I had an written estimate. Please avoid going to Gene Brown and save yourself a lot of trouble and money!!!!!

Went in for a simple transmission fluid change. The transmission worked fine. When I went to pick it up, the slimy guy showed up to show me all the "problems" it had. They wouldn't do the simple change. The only way that I could get it out of there was to agree to them putting in USED transmission fluid that had been drained out of other cars. Avoid this shop at all costs.

My experience was quite different. I am new to this city and I find the people here quite mean. My 1999 Honda Accord broke down on 1604 and bandera. I contacted Gene Brown Transmission and they had my car towed in 20 minutes. Ron the manager had a driver pick me up the next morning to take me to work. I had an estimate by that afternoon. My transmission was not shifting properly and my starter failed. When I picked up my vehicle Ron took me on a test drive detailing each repair. The mechanic had my old parts in a box. I am grateful I contacted Gene Brown Transmission the night my vehicle broke down.

As a repeat customer of over 3 years I thought I would write a review. I have a 99 honda civic, 04 Ford F-150 and a 01 Mercedes. Cris has been the manager since I first brought my 99 Honda Civc in for a diagnostic for gears sticking. I needed a new transmission but he was able to rebuild my old transmission at a fraction of the cost and in a timely manner efficient manner. Cris kept in contact with me each step of the way. Offered a payment plan and an awesome warranty. I have since brought my 01 Mercedes and 04 Ford F150 for regular maintaince that the dealer would charge me an arm and a leg. In this economy I highly recommed this shop. They save all old parts for your review and completely walk you through each repair required..
