I had breakfast the other day with a friend. I cannot remember the waiters name, but he was just a really good waiter and conversationalist. My friend was running late, & business was not too busy, and we chatted about life. I used to stop by this location for years, during nursing school and now retired from the Air Force. It is a tough job being a waiter and I appreciate the wait staff tremendously. Food was very good.

[Date of visit was 9/24/2012. The order number was 356026 and the server name on my receipt was Shawn C.; however, I believe the wait staff called her by another name.] On this day my son and I attempted to dine for breakfast at this restaurant, but everything that could have gone wrong with my order went wrong, and all I received in response from the (very tall) waitress each time I brought an order error to her attention, was giggling. The waitress never thought at least one apology was in order which appears to be a training deficiency. The items that went wrong were (1) I ordered three scrambled eggs but received two eggs [it actually looked like one egg, so they must be serving pigeon eggs now], (2) I ordered wheat bread but received white bread. (3) I ordered bacon in place of sausage, and although she said she would bring bacon, she never did. If that wasn't enough, when I finally decided to eat the food on my plate while waiting too long for the correct food to be delivered, the food was cold and the hash browns were the greasiest thing I've ever attempted to eat. I will never go back to Denny's - it's not worth the time, money nor experience.

There sometimes is not much to smile about when working the "Graveyard" shift--yet when I stopped into Denny's, I found the wait-staff as well as the cook energetic and engaging, despite the crowded atmosphere. They provided good food at a reasonable price, with a smile on their face.
