PLEASE READ BEFORE SIGNING LEASE. I wish I had known this before i lived in. I have lived in 5 different apartment facilities while in San Antonio and this is by far the worst.

1) Air conditioning and electric appliances are VERY OLD, you will have a high electricity bill. When I signed my lease the leasing manager told me it should be around $50 for my studio. I turn off my a/c from 9-7 every day (due to work) and my electricity has been about $80-90

2) Don't move here if you have an issue with ants. The place looked very decent at first, but after a month living here, I noticed a big problem... ANTS! They are literally everywhere. I get my place insect repellant once a week and the ants still pop up everywhere. I asked my 4 other friends who have they're own units at this complex and they have all reported this problem too. Especially during the winter.

3) Laundry Facilities are sub par. When i first moved in, I was told 6 of the 6 dryers were broken. They weren't fixed until 2 weeks after i had moved in.

4) Area is NOT very safe. There are homeless people that i see in the middle of the night atleast twice a week. A girl at my school was also murdered nearby at O.P. Schnabel Park, a park nearby. look up the Lauren Bump murder.

5) Staff is very very nosy. The leasing manager lives in my building and she asked if someone was living in my complex. I told her not at all. Then she told me to explain why there was a man helping me put my groceries away. There are a lot of students here and i feel like a lot of the staff feels like they can get away with taking advantage of the students.

6) Maintenance is sub par. Of course they know the apartment utilities are old and maintenance does a horrible job of fixing appliances. While living here, you WILL have a problem that will get fixed halfway by maintenance. (also reported by my 4 other friends that live at this complex).

7) If you are of any minority be very weary moving in. Some of the older residents and especially office employees are not the friendliest.

Stay Away from here!

I have moved here a year and a half ago, location is very convince and close to the Incarnate Word University. Other than this it has been a terrible experience, the buildings are very old and need a lot of maintenance (other than only painting!), doors and windows are not sealed and air leaking, what the management did when I informed them about it??? Exactly NOTHING BUT PPROMISES TO SEND SOMEONE TO CHECK. Yeah right I’m here still waiting for the maintenance guy to show up! Electricity bill is super high (for the 2 bedroom 810 square feet) was $170 for May, $370 for June, and $310 for July, god know how much it will be for next month!! when you go to the leasing office and try to get them to help you figure out the problem, they keep giving you the run around with excuse after excuse such as (the land lord is not here, I will send someone to check, contact CPS energy, it’s not our problem!!!). In addition to, IT IS NOT SAFE NIEBOHERHOOD, there’s no gates and anyone can walk in. My bicycle was stolen from my second floor balcony last month, before that another bicycle was stolen from a 3rd floor apartment, cars break-ins is normal at this place! The last incident that I know about happened to one of my neighbors, around 10:00 PM where they stole his spare tire from his truck at 10 o’clock!!!!!! This is my 6th year living in San Antonio and been at 4 different apartments and had never had such a disappointment. Likely, I have only 2 more months left for my contract to expire and I’m moving as fast as possible, and never going to look back, please stay away from here, I still have a year to graduate but I will go somewhere else and drive the extra miles just to be out of this nightmare, for the same amount I’m paying know I found a 1100 square feet apartment that was built in 2007! Not in 1940! I would give it a zero star but unfortunately the least I can give is 1!
