Beware of Hertz at SLC!
We had an emergency to attend to in the area on a very limited budget and had found a great deal through AAA that helped allow us to make this trip.
That was until we had to upgrade to weather conditions where we had to go, snow falling and slick. Their representative went straight to the upper end SUV even though I had asked for a Jeep. He then pushed to have us take on the insurance even though I had previously told him we were covered. He evidently didn't understand the word budget that I had used twice in our conversation. English is his second language but he does totally understand the definition of the term up sell.
I would suggest going straight to the Enterprise counter which we did the next day after bringing the SUV back to Hertz and having to deal with our "friend" again. As I couldn't get the word budget through his skull I said we are going now and I will need my credit card and license back. I really don't think he had ANY clue I was way less than happy.
