Went to Guitar Czar for the first time ever because it’s close to practice space. Needed to replace my string, bought them from them and picks. Asked the guys twice if I could change them there real quick, I was told yes, that’s fine. Then as soon as I started to work on replacing them I was rushed and told they’d replace it for me because they’d do it in 5 minutes. Every person has their own way they prefer. I felt rushed and like I was just another transaction for the day. The place wasn’t even busy and I was told “let me do it for you so you don’t take or counter space, I can do it in 5 minutes” AFTER the fact I was told they didn’t care if I changed them there. The simplest of things but rushed for no reason. Needless to say I’ll never go there again, for string, but a guitar or anything else. Customer Service 101 is out the door at this place.

The most knowledge. Best place in slc to take your guitars to get set up. Also really cool selection.

I take all my business here. Real musicians work here that know what they're talking about and have real world experience to back up what they say. I take all my high end guitars (Gretsch, Guild, Gibson) here to be adjusted or repaired on a regular basis. I've never walked away unsatisfied or feeling ripped off. they have great customer service and will work with you if you have an issue. No high pressure sales, great deals, they'll beat any price, big selection/range of instruments, and skilled repair techs. I highly recommend them for all your musical gear needs.

The Guitar Czar is the place to go to buy an electric guitar in Salt Lake City. I have bought... let me see... 10 guitars there, for myself and for various people. Even for student acoustic stuff, I have bought from there. First of all, they have a good selection in stock. Not a lot of used stuff, typically, but once in a while something nice comes through. More importantly, they are a local hole-in-the-wall place, which I really like to support. And, if you check the price at the corporate warehouse store on Redwood Road, they will match that price. How can you beat that? I always but from them, and they always take care of me. No complaints.

i will never be back

i was looking to put 2 dimarzio paf pros in my ibanez rg and get the thing fixed, dirty pot, fret buzz etc. they pissed me off the first time by telling me there was a special on those humbucker for $55 - reg. $72. so i go right over and they tell me " ohh no they are $65" i ask him twice on the phone b/c it was such a good deal. still bought them since they were a bit cheaper anyway. then after checking around for someone to install them and work on the guitar they quoted me $60 to do everything while everyone else quoted me about a $100. so unfortunetly i took it to them again. when i came to pick it up they handed me the bill $95! i was like alright this is bullcrap. had to talk to the manager told him this was the 2nd time. of course he tried to tell me otherwise and weasle his way out of it but he ended up giving me $20 bucks off, should have been $35 but i was in a hurry for an expensive voice lesson so i couldnt be late. when i finally get home and look at their work i was very displeased they did a very crappy job. 1. my strings still buzz, sound horrible if i play clean. 2. the tone knob was not cleaned it still makes all sorts of fuzzy noises if i use it. 3. (my favorite) they put an oversized washer and nut below the volume knob so it doesnt rest against the guitar body it sticks up about 1/8 of an inch. bugs the crap out of me. i look at it and think to myself "are these guys serious?" do they really think id be cool with this? im just glad it was my rg 320 and not my rgt prestige. ill be taking that somewhere else for sure.

i highly recommend not going there unless u live very close and just need strings, picks, or maybe even capo...maybe
