The name of the game with auto body shops is finding the right one first and foremost, especially if you have a claim through the insurance companies. All will tell you they will save you money, and cut corners and those are the ones to avoid. Once they have you in there for an estimate, you're not leaving until they get your business, especially if you have a front end accident with damage under the hood that you can't see. So research all shops in your area and see their reviews. I have a rule of thumb that if you going to spend over $1,000 on anything, get 3 estimates. With auto body shops it's a little more tricky so to get it right, here was my criteria: Non-franchise business. Nothing shady on the south side. Family owned and in business for over 10 years. Good reviews. After the smoke cleared, there was only one: Silverking. Great communication with Steve and Darlene. Just like the good old days when shops did as they promised and treated you with courtesy and delivered on everything they said. Body work was flawless, after a front end collision and bent hood and broken bumper, I couldn't notice anything. It was seamless. Paint was a perfect match on a customized midnight metallic blue. Literally, you could notice NOTHING and that's the point. Only when something is wrong do you notice it. This shop gets 5 out of 5 stars in my book and is VERY competitive at $42 per hour.

WOW, what service and professionalism I received from SilverKing Collision!! I've never had such a worry free experience in having my car repaired after being in an accident and the car looks better than it ever has. From the paint finish to the detailing - it was an exceptional job. Thank you Darlene and Steve - you are the best :)

I have seen a lot of paint work in my life. I just arrived home and looked very close at the job they did. It's some of the best work I've seen. No orange peel, no sand marks, no over-spray, paint looks factory and I couldn't be happier. Icing on the cake is they don't pollute at all and what's more, they guarantee the work for life in writing. The price was under what I had estimated myself and they even gave me a coupon discount. They need 6 stars, not five. Nuff said.
