I am updating my review. I am from KY and only dealt with Scott by phone. In 2011, by phone he purchased a car from me for salvage. In good faith, I trusted that he would pay me even though I only had his word by phone. I never saw a dime. I left a review in 2012, which is still on this board. I saw a review by Scott himself afterward and wanted to update mine, so people will be aware that I dealt with him only. I know of no other people at Independent Salvage or Viper Motors as I only dealt with Scott. He screwed me. Nobody else in that business did. Sounds like Viper is an appropriate name.

this business has been proven to provide fast courteous service to the greater Pinellas county the speed and convenient courtesy they use makes it much easier to get rid of unwanted vehicles thank you

in response to the reviews written preiviosly if anyone would like to see mr harpers assosciate phillip decelles or the information written by the honorable judge jon inc please look to facebook time line 1/2/2015 they all admitted their false charges in court before the honorable judge Quesada proof has been publicly provided to ascertain the truth footfreaky Robert harper and these others all know each other and are violating direct restraining orders against them I am speaking to the public so that this can not be construed by law as me making third party contact but mr harper directly addressed me in this review and I am forwarding this ad to the proper authorities thank you

The phone number listed for this business is not only incorrect it is a personal cell phone number.

What a liar. As you can see Scott is trying to raise his rating by posting comments after people he has ripped off complained.

As of July 28th the states attorneys office has dismissed 7 charges of multiple counts of theft and scheme to defraud, Mr. Sands is currently in post conviction status in cases involving Phillip Decelelles. all listings of proof of innocence in these cases will be posted on facebook, u tube and saint Pete industrial times.. further comments will represented after Florida 2nd DCA decisions are final.... good luck to those who tried to hurt the sands family as it was a vindictive and selfish act on their part to try to damage the lives of others. for those who were caught up in these recent events Independent Salvage apologizes for the wrongs and inconveniences committed against you although it was neccesary to prove that we did not commit these transgressions you were submitted to. god bless and thank you to all of those who supported our innocence.

I live in Kentucky, and only dealt with Scott over the phone. Unfortunately, I did business with him on our word. He received my car and my title. I have never received my money. I had numerous phone conversations with him, and he always promised results, but now it is over a year and I still have nothing. I know nothing of any legal issues or other problems this business may have or not had, but I can say that they have not been honest at all.

If this company is still in business, which I highly doubt, I recommend doing absolutely NO business with Independent Salvage or Scott of Viper Motors.

independent has been found not guilty of the charges accrued. all of the trucks seized were personnally released by the st pete pd. shame on the people who are targeting our family owned buisness. i know who you are footfreaky and if you wanted to solve youer problems all that is needed is for you to call and set up a time to receive your funds. if you continue to refuse i cant help you... thank you

MY HUSBAND AND I SOLD A CAR TO THEM ON 11/22/10 AND WITHIN 15 MINUTES OF THE TOW TRUCK LEAVING, WE WENT DOWN TO THEIR BANK AND THERE WERE NO FUNDS IN THE ACCOUNT. I CAME STRAIGHT HOME AND CALLED THE COMPANY. I SPOKE WITH AMBER, SHE SAID THAT THE BOSS ACCIDENTLY DEPOSITED A CHECK AND HE HAD TO GET THE HOLD RELEASED AND HE WAS AT THE BACK RIGHT THEN FIXING IT AND SHE WOULD CALL ME BACK. NO CALLS. I CALLED BACK AND GOT THE RUN AROUND. I ASKED THEM TO BRING OUR CAR BACK AND WE WILL GIVE THEM THE CHECK BACK SHE SAID "NO IT WILL BE CLEARED UP" 3 DAYS LATER AFTER NOT BEING ABLE TO GET THROUGH ON ANY OF THE NUMBERS, I GOT A HOLD OF SOMEONE NAMED BRUCE WHO SAID THAT HE WAS JUST OPENING THE SHOP AND WOULD HAVE AMBER CALL ME BACK. I ASKED THE NAME OF THE OWNER'S NAME AND HE SAID SCOTT SANDS. I TOLD HIM THAT I WANT A CALL BACK FROM HIM. I HAVE CALLED FOR OVER 10 DAYS NOW AND THEY EITHER DO NOT ANSWER THE PHONE OR THEY SAY THAT THEY WILL CALL BACK. CAN NEVER GET THRU TO SCOTT SANDS. I AM PUTTING BAD REVIEWS ON EVERY PLACE I CAN FIND INCLUDING BBB AND 8 ON YOUR SIDE. I DON'T WANT ANYONE ELSE TO GO THROUGH WHAT WE HAVE. THANK GOD WE DIDN'T DEPOSIT INTO OUR BANK ACCOUNT MAKING IT LOOK BAD ON US. I HAVE CALLED THE BANK SO OFTEN THAT THEY AUTOMATICALLY KNOW MY VOICE. SCOTT SANDS HAS A LOT OF JUDGEMENTS AGAINST HIM THRU THE CLERK OF THE CIRCUIT COURT AND ABOUT 10 ARREST RECORDS. PLEASE DO NOT USE THEM...POST EVERY CHANCE YOU GET SO IT DOESN'T HAPPEN TO ANYONE ELSE!

COMPLETELY DISHONEST auto salvage. They lied to us. They said they had the transmission we needed so we immediately went down to his shop, he said that our mechanie would have it within 24 hours. Scott Sands' wife, Patricia, told us that her credit card machine was "conveniently" down at the time and needed cash - she was quick to tell us Wachovia is right around the corner. We got the cash and hesitantly gave it to her thinking a receipt would suffice.



It's been a week. After calling him every day, since we had to rent a car, he finally said that he's sick of us calling and that no, he doesn't have our transmission, he's not getting it and that we will not get our money. He will not answer calls.



This company is dishonest. Times are tough for everyone, Scott, you just lost a lot more business.
