**Very AWFUL experience with this Hmong Travel agency**



My parents used this agency for their re-entry permits in 2012 and were told that if they pay for the expedited service, they will receive the permits within 2 months, as the normal processing time is between 5-6 months. My parents paid for the expedited service. After two months, they did not receive the permit. They called the owner asking about the whereabouts of their permits and were told he will look into it. I decided to call USCIS for the statuses of their permits and got information from the officer that conflicted with Travel Asia.



Travel Asia charged my parents a flat charge of $595/person for the service, no breakdown of the fees. After my own breakdown of the fee, there was $150 fee that I didn't understand. We went and talked to the owner for a breakdown of the fee and he refused to break them down for me at first. What he listed was: $70 for expedited service, $10 for photo fee, and $20 for shipping/handling, which leaves $50 for agency service fee (even though he won't list that). To sum it up, USCIS officer confirmed that they don't charge a fee for expedited service. It is a request that the customer can make on the application, in plain writing, on the front page, however, no fee whatsoever should be charged. Secondly, my parents never got photo services from Travel Asia. Thirdly, what is with the $20 for shipping/handling? It is just an application in an envelope being mail out, not a package.



Initially, Travel Asia refused to give the unnecessary charges refunded back, however they did after much dispute, and as the owner eloquently stated "they deserve best and I do care for elderly person like her." I'm sorry but my parents are younger than him. From my experience with this owner, he is not an honest business man. I am sure my parents were not the first and last victims. I am sure many Hmong parents that needed these kind of services were cheated out of their hard earned money. Therefore, please warn those you know and love to stay away from this business. It is a business that is such a disgrace to the Hmong community.
