This is a young female dentist , I think the post was put there by accident. ) :

I took my young daughter here because I wanted her evaluated for orthodontics. My daughter has anxiety with dentists, and right off the bat I explained her anxiety and hoped that Dr. Spahl would be able to treat her with respect and caution and most importantly, not violate her boundaries. He didn't even remember her name when he started going into her mouth, and when he did, he was rough and not careful, talking to me and not to her--she had no idea what he was doing or going to do. Suddenly he whipped out a jar of lidocaine, put it under her nose and said "what does it smell like? cherry? ok." and did not listen to her answer or see her facial expression. She thought it smelled disgusting and I did not know what on earth he was doing with topical lidocaine at a simple ortho evaluation. I asked him what he was doing, and he kind of whispered to me he was going to put the lidocaine onto her loose tooth and pull it out! Against her wishes! My daughter curled up into the fetal position and cried out of fear. We wanted to leave but instead had to listen to him talk and talk endlessly, but not listen to anything we had to say. It was terrible. I am never going back to this office.
