The Fleet Maintenance Division, a part of the Public Works department, maintains more than 200 units of equipment. The division serves various city departments, such as community development, police, fire, and parks and recreation. The Public Works department is governed by the City of Apple Valley in Minnesota. The department operates through utilities, street and natural resources divisions. Its inspection division is responsible for the enforcement of ordinances that regulate individual sewage treatment systems and building permits and inspections.
