The Community Education Center of Elk and Cameron Counties (CEC) has been facilitating credit, non-credit and enrichment programming for local community members since 1991. Due to the lack of available and accessible postsecondary educational entities in the northern rural areas of Pennsylvania, then Congressman Peterson provided a small grant to the community to create a Community Education Council. Several individuals worked tirelessly and passionately to build the foundation for the CEC.
