Dr. Richard Bligh founded the St. Louis Center for Preventive & Longevity Medicine in 2003 to integrate comprehensive healthcare with preventive and state-of-the-art technology. Dr. Bligh has developed a holistic, patient-focused practice that provides concierge medicine, age management and cosmetic services in a comfortable setting. After years as a primary care physician with one of St. Louis's premier group practices, Dr. Bligh developed health problems that led him to examine conventional medical wisdom on aging and disease. He noted a drop in energy, muscle mass, and overall vitality, despite years devoted to sports, a healthy diet, and aerobic/resistance training. Still, an extensive medical evaluation produced a clean bill of health. His colleagues welcomed him to the Aging Baby Boomer Club with a smile and slap on the back. Dr. Bligh wasn't convinced. An article about the newly formed American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine inspired him to research the concept of aging as a manageable disease. He attended numerous conferences with leading physicians in this field and underwent further testing, which revealed deficiencies in Dr. Bligh's testosterone, growth hormone, and DHEA-elements rarely checked in a traditional medical evaluation. He realized many of these levels fluctuate according to age and, like most physicians, attributed the decline to normal aging. But within weeks to months of supplementation, Dr. Bligh had more energy. He noticed gains in lost muscle mass and a renewed sense of optimism and self-confidence. Dr. Bligh's personal journey dramatically reshaped his concepts about conventional medicine's aggressive treatment style. He now views vigorous prevention and a healthy lifestyle as key to successful aging.

Life Changer

Simply Amazing doctor. He is patient, kind, thorough and a rare find for a doctor in this "rush them in and out" world of medicine. For the first time in a long time I felt like someone was listening to me. I feel better than I have in years thanks to Dr. Bligh.

I am a real fan of Dr. Bligh and his team. I was surprised at the results from treatments that were possible. This was a great choice!

sculptra

Dr. Bligh recommended Sculptra. He said he had many patients with good results. The only side effect could be small nodules, that could be removed easily with an injection of steroids. He said this was only a slight chance. He uses patients as guinea pigs. I have permanents damage that ranges from 2 scars from surgery, and still 2 nodules left. I will have to have another surgery this year. Dr. Bligh gave me 9 steroid injections in both eyes, without doing research. I found out later that he caused further damage. He told me he was responsible for fixing the damage "for life." When I went to another doctor, and asked for Dr. Bligh to pay for the surgery for the damage he caused, he refused. He has stopped using Sculptra, b/c he has had many other patients with permanent damage.

Patients are guinea pigs.

He destroyed my eyes. He recommended Sculptra, and told me he had great results. He let me know the side effects are nodules. He said that they are no big deal, and he could easily get rid of them. Well, I have 4 nodules. He has given me a series of 10 steroid injections under my eye, cut me open once and left me with 4 nodules, a scar and pockets under my eyes. I now have permanent marks, and have to go have one nodule removed from a plastic surgeon. I asked Dr. Bligh to pay, since it is his MISTAKES that have created this. He said no. I have been told that he should have not used Sculptra under the eye, and then shouldn't have tried to correct it with steroids.
