Sandy Gilbertson received her bachelor's in nursing from Mount Mercy College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. She earned her master's in nursing from Northeastern University in Boston, Mass. and doctorate of nursing from the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa, Ala. "I appreciate the challenge of figuring out a tough case, but I also like the idea of keeping children healthy by helping them make positive lifestyle choices, like eating well and exercising regularly,"; says Sandy.
