Absolutely awful experience, I can truly say that out of the 8 people eating that only one will return. From the opinion of a group of people with experience in the service industry it was hands down the worst experience in a restaurant of it's caliber. If you've considered visiting, I would highly recommend avoiding it like the plague and giving your money to a more deserving establishment. A reservation had been made, and all 9 people ordered upon receiving appetizers. There were three tables in the dining room, and yet a table sat much later had been severed before our party. knowing that our orders were placed roughly 40 minutes before, we approached the owner (who was standing behind the bar with a glass of wine in front of him, chatting it up to the point where I had to interrupt him) to ask where our food was. without a word, he rushed into the kitchen.. eventually he came to our table to tell us it'd be five more minutes, and our food had only been in for 10 minutes. Clearly a server error, she never came around. The manager arrived, a different man, and apologized for the issue and told us we'd each have a drink on the house. mind you, two of the people didn't have drinks aside from water.in the end, the waitress auctioned off two meals at a time, a trip every 3 minutes, without any sort of empathy towards the situation. Took over 10 minutes to get condiments, and the rare steak which was delivered last came out barely warm, overcooked and the server again didn't know who had ordered what. She had zero concern for her failure to place the order, zero concern for our unpleasant experience, disappointment and completely negative attitude when the 75 year old birthday guest of honor had a complaint about her steak. She returned after 5 minutes and said that they'd cook her a new steak, without so much as an apology. She shook her head as she walked away after we'd asked for the steak to be boxed and to have our checks. I know that each of us were disgusted by the server and owner's behavior, but can say that the manager was very apologetic and once we explained our complete frustration he took 50% off each tab, delivered them and cashed us out. In customer service you need to be worried about the customer and fix your mistake. We all agreed that the issue wasn't that our food had taken so long but that she never said a word to acknowledge her mistake of failing to put in an order for an 8 top. We are all great tippers and understanding when things are not at fault of the server and still compensate them properly. The way this matter was handled by "Jim" and "Ashley" was an absolute disgrace as an establishment that handles tourists and locals alike, in our area. People need to know to get a quality meal with much more professional staff and enjoyable experience in St. Joe. I feel bad for anyone who wastes their time.
