HTO did a great job getting my glasses to me with quick turnaround and great quality! Not to mention the price was very agreeable! Now I don't have to pay those pesky vision insurance fees, and can get glasses from HTO for a fraction of the cost of other places, even when I used my insurance at the other places!

- Business History
- Hi-Tech Optical was created from the original White-Haines Optical Co., which was founded in 1940. This Columbus based organization expanded to Saginaw Michigan and moved to the Christy Way South location in 1971. In early 1987, Hi-Tech Optical, Inc. was established by a group of local investors (including our current president, Thomas Ryan) who collaborated together to purchase the Saginaw office from White-Haines. Through HTO’s history in Saginaw Michigan, there have been prosperous years as well as some struggles like every other seasoned small business. In 2008 with the hit of the recession, many of Michigan’s local small businesses were taken down by such a huge blow economically. HTO survived this and other challenges to become the pillar in our community today. We have been manufacturing quality prescription eyeglass lenses in Saginaw Michigan for twenty-eight (28) years now, and we service a variety of industries.
